Orlando Bloom (Legolas) erzählte in einem Interview bei Channel 4, dass er sich zusammen mit Sean Bean in New York ein Tatoo habe stechen lassen. Das Tatoo stelle die elbische Rune für das Wort "Neun" dar, was für die neun Gefährten stehe. Jeder Gefährten-Darsteller habe nun dieses Tatoo. Seans Tatoo befindet sich auf seiner rechten Schulter.

Orlando Bloom, appearing on Channel 4's Big Breakfast on 21 November, revealed he had taken Sean to a New York tattoo parlour to have his LOTR tattoo done. The special tattoo, which says "Nine" in Elvish, is shared by the actors who played the Fellowship in The Fellowship of the Ring. (Sean's tattoo is on his right shoulder, complementing the 100% Blade tattoo that appears on his left shoulder.)
