Stuntman charged over LOTR copies
A 36 year old Yugoslav stuntman has appeared in the Auckland District Court on four charges relating to the Lord of the Rings film production.
The man, who has interim name suppression, was remanded to appear again in a fortnight.
He's accused of money laundering, making a VHS videotape copy containing film footage from the Lord of the Rings, dealing in a reproduction of the film footage with intent to defraud, and theft of two video cassettes valued at 10 dollars from the production company he worked for.

A man's about to appear in court in Auckland charged with illegally copying off a tape of the multi million dollar movie Lord of the Rings.
The movie has been in production at various locations in New Zealand, with most of the filming work centred on Wellington.
Police say a 35 year old man will appear in the Auckland District Court charged with reproducing a document, theft as a servant, dealing with a reproduced document and money laundering.
The charges apparently relate to the sale of rushes of the film on the Internet.
